The distribution company mbw mbH is an owner-managed company in the promotional products industry which has operated out of Wanderup in Schleswig-Holstein for over 35 years. We are a medium-sized family business that specialises in  the procurement and processing of promotionally branded goods. Carefully crafted and trustful trade relationships with our suppliers around the world ensure the consistent quality of our diverse range of products. The products meet legal standards–and many mbw® items have been awarded test reports by renowned test institutes.

The launch of the first TALMU pedestrian reflectors on 28th November 1980 by Walter and Monika Both marked the beginning of our successful company history. It was during a holiday in Scandinavia in the late 1970s that 'Blinkis' were discovered. The founders of MB (as it was still known then) were really excited, and decided to make this excellent product known in Germany. After the initial steps in retail and cooperation with the German road safety organisations one thing quickly became clear–the promotional products industry was the way forward. Soon other products were added to the line up: Appliflex®, cycling helmets, bottle openers, the bestseller Snaky, and eventually SQUEEZIES®, together with the first plush animals. The latter have become a strong pillar of our company in the form of the brand MiniFeet®. And when it comes to squeaky ducks our Schnabels® are swimming ahead of the flock. Herr Bert®–originally a SQUEEZIES®–has proven himself to be a true all-rounder, and can be found (amongst other places) on pedestrian reflectors and luggage tags. 

The market demands for the quality and safety of promotional items are high. We meet the numerous requirements of the European standard, and all items meet the directives for placing products on the market. Within Germany quality control takes place under supervision of our in-house quality management team. Externally, our colleagues are on location to continuously monitor production. Numerous items go far beyond requirements and have been OEKO-TEX®-, TÜV PROOF- or GS-certified. The test reports from renowned test institutes ensure transparency.

Since 2007 mbw® has belonged to JCK Holding. The companies of JCK Holding are committed to their duty of social responsbility. We are BSCI members, and prefer production in factories which likewise fulfill the requirements of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) or the ICTI (International Council of Toy Industry). The social compliance team in Shanghai inspect and advise manufacturers of mbw® products.

Goals and Values

MBW are specialised in procurement and finishing of promotional items. The business relationships with our suppliers all over the world have been carefully developed, and this proven reliability ensures the consistent quality of our product range. Our products comply with the relevant legal regulations. Test reports from renowned test institutes are available for many of our promotional items.

Quality has its price

The market requirements regarding quality and safety of the promotional items used are immense. Numerous regulations of European standards result in ever new challenges each day. We are facing this responsibility, and in this catalogue we are pleased to present you promotional items meeting the EU regulations and directives for bringing products into circulation.

The quality assurance in Asia is provided by employees who continously monitor the production and thus essentially contribute to our objective to supply selected products at constant quality to you – now and in the future.

The companies of the JCK Holding have a strong commitment to meet corporate social responsibility standards. We therefore prefer manufacturers for our products who comply with the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and ICTI (International Council of Toy Industry) requirements. Our Social Compliance Team in Shanghai monitors and consults our manufacturers accordingly.

Nevertheless, the fact that our products have always met the respective relevant legal regulations is not enough for us. Hence, for example, our plushline bestseller, the softplush bear and moose (page 24-25), now come with an Eco-Tex certification. Also, PVC articles like our ducks and balls are phthalate-free and various models are also suitable for children under 3 years. The reflector articles are in accordance with EN 13356 as well as EU directive 89/686.
